The lovely Elyse who’s voice and accent most will know through the pits at Baypark Speedway sadly is unable to continue in this role she has held for many seasons at Baypark.

Which means we are looking for a new vibrant speedway loving person to join our crew starting in October.

Baypark Pit Assistant/Announcer

Job Description:

As the pit assistant, it is your job to ensure each volunteer has what they need for the night, and to be support throughout the meeting. As the person in the office most of the meeting, staff, drivers and crew will come to you with questions or if they require assistance; think of it as a personal secretary to the clerk of the course, referring staff and promoter. The person who fits with Baypark values will be friendly, personable and professional in their duties.

Pits Assistant Duties:

• Making announcements in the pits
• Assisting staff – referees, lap scorers, class reps, promoter, and anyone else who requires it
• Posting results of races as they are made available

Ensuring cars are on the dummy grid prior to their race in conjunction with the Dummy grid Co-Ordinator on race nights.
