“After completing all indiviual Speedway New Zealand Championships for the 2023-2024 season that Baypark is eligiable for, Baypark Speedway has outperformed its previous year with notable achievements. Two premier classes held at Baypark Speedway clinched two out of the three available championship numbers, marking a significant success for the venue.

Class registrations saw a considerable increase this season, with Sprintcars boasting an impressive tally of 31 cars, while Stockcars and Superstocks each concluded the season with 14 cars proudly representing the Baypark Speedway with the iconic ‘M’ emblem.

The recent showdown at Western Springs witnessed an intense battle of skill and determination, with Dean Cooper from Taupo, driving his 84M, and Jamie Larsen from Kapaiti, in his 82M, securing the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. They were closely trailing behind the 17 year old American racer Joel Myers Jnr, who clinched the top spot and will now carry the 1NZ title offshore after triumphing in the same car previously piloted by Buddy Kofoid in prior racing seasons.”

A few weeks ago at Ruapuna Speedway, spectators were treated to an exhilarating display of racing as drivers engaged in fierce competition. Ultimately, Brock Maskovich delivered a masterful performance, consistently challenging for the lead and demonstrating remarkable skill and precision on the track. Despite facing close competition throughout the event, Maskovich successfully secured the 2NZ, a number he has previously held, but this time proudly bringing it home for Baypark Speedway.

All of this follows the outstanding performance a few weeks ago in Cromwell, where Baypark cars showcased their dominance in the New Zealand Super-Saloon Championship. Chris Cowling successfully defended his 1NZM title, solidifying his status as the one to beat once again this year. Additionally, Sam Waddell secured the 2NZ title, further highlighting Baypark Speedway’s position as home to the country’s top Super-Saloon racers
