When did you start racing and how did you get into it?

I started when I was 12 Years old.  My family has been involved in all sorts of motorsport so it’s in my blood. My grandfather raced a streestock at the old Baypark.  My mum used to bring me to speedway a lot & I always said I’d love to race a ministock.

What classes have you run over the years?

 Ministocks
What are you most proud of in your racing career?

I’m only just starting out but winning at Future of Speedway last season was awesome.

What titles have you received while racing?

1st Place Future of Speedway (Huntly) 2021/22,

2nd Place Ministock Stampede (Kihikihi) 2021/22.

Rookie of the Year Baypark Speedway 2020/21.

What is your all-time favourite track to race at and why?

Gisborne – the banking is so cool to race on.

What are you currently doing in the off-season and how do you prepare mentally and physically for this sport?

Playing Rugby to keep my fitness up & spending plenty of time on the Sim to keep up the muscle memory.

What do you hope to achieve next season?

I’d really like a feature win here at Baypark & also finally get a chance to attend MIP in Rotorua.  I’d also really like to race at a South Island track.

What characteristics do you think are important to becoming successful in racing?

Dedication.  Preparation.  Willing to Learn & Listen

What is happening with your car in the off-season any major changes we should look out for once the season starts?

We are doing a full re-build so it’s currently at bare chassis stage, it will be sandblasted, painted & re-built.  We have a new design again this year so I’m excited to show everyone at opening meeting on Labour Weekend.

Speedway racing can be fast and dangerous, looking out toward the fans, what do you think is one thing the fans will never understand until they are behind the wheel of a race car?

How big the track is & how much safety gear we need to wear.

What is your favourite race on the NZ race calendar?

To watch would be NZ Sprintcar Championship or Palmy Teams,

but personally Opening Night!

Who do you admire most in motorsport and why?

Rodney Wood he’s just the GOAT
