When did you start racing and how did you get into it?

Funny enough it was in our first lockdown and I downloaded Wreckfest a Xbox game that is based off stockcars in UK haha, after a few months playing it i was like the amount i play it i could bloody build one in the time!

What classes have you run over the years?

Nothing just stockcars so far.

What are you most proud of in your racing career?

Only just started but I would say just getting on track and actually fronting up and giving it a go.

What titles have you received while racing?

None yet possibly being called the stirrer at Fredricksons Gold cup which we should of kept,

ill work on that on the next time round.

What is your all-time favourite track to race at and why?

Only have raced at BP and Auckland, but I would say Rotorua or Wellington look good.

What are you currently doing in the off-season and how do you prepare mentally and physically for this sport?

Just sorting out a plan at the moment for our next season, prep wise a-lot of youtube too see what not to do, but little bit of work out here and there few runs and wreckfest too test my real racing haha

What do you hope to achieve next season?

Hopefully a few flags bit of travel and possibly a tier 2 teams race.

What characteristics do you think are important to becoming successful in racing?

Hard work good people skills and a bit of luck.

What is happening with your car in the off-season any major changes we should look out for once the season starts?

New car might be on the cards or class change but its all up in the air

Speedway racing can be fast and dangerous, looking out toward the fans, what do you think is one thing the fans will never understand until they are behind the wheel of a race car?

Effort to get cars ready for a weekend of racing as its alot of time money, but its all worth it when you see the crowds cheering ya on or in the pits wanting too chat and look at the cars up close

What is your favourite race on the NZ race calendar?

Super Stock Winter nationals at Meeanee Speedway as i find its the one event in the big boy class were you get too see the top cars using pure finesse at full flight no team tactics as most part time cars and drivers have called it a season.

Who do you admire most in motorsport and why?

Steve Jude he doesn’t know it but always looked upto him growing up and Smoking Joe.

Let’s talk about Baypark Speedway,

  • What made you decide to run the Mighty M?
  • Its my city and as long as I live here the M will be on the side!
  • What do you think of the changes and the way direction the speedway is moving?
  • Its getting better with every meeting since the new team has come on,
  • What would you like to see improve for both the speedway and your class?
  • Track surfaces once that is dialed in for a few meetings out of towners will come, class wise numbers are low so a few new cars ideally, so if anyone wants too have a look or is interested yell out.

Tell us about your sponsors, what kind of business they run and the support you get from them.?

101 homes build quality houses around the Wellington region

Gray Skull Garage build top tier Harley Davidsons around Bay of Plenty

We know sponsors play a big part but so do crews and families, tell us about your support team?

My partner Mikayla! best pit chief too have and my mechanic know it all  guru the Yank – Logan

Final words …… What would you like to say to your fans and the wider speedway community?

Thanks for turning up and watching/supporting us! and cant forget the staff that run the events you guys are the real MVP hands down!  5m
