In just 24 hours, an incredible 261 names came flooding in — and that was before we even got to the legendary 1NZ, 2NZ, and 3NZ! We asked fans to help us match driver names to numbers from Baypark’s proud 54-year history — spanning two tracks and nearly six decades — and the response was unreal.

What we found was pretty interesting too:
Out of the race numbers 0–99, only six numbers have never been used: 20, 40, 60, 64, 80, and 90.

Now, numbers ending in 0 are rarely used these days due to lap scoring issues, but back in the manual lap scorer days, we discovered a few drivers had run numbers like 30, 50 and 70.

Take those out of the equation, and it turns out 64 might just be the only number still untouched in Baypark’s long and colourful racing history.

At the end of the day, our amazing fans have helped compile a list that’s as rich and gritty as the clay our cars race on.

1 week later, we have the list of Champions now added into the mix, we have the post open for another 24 hours to let the last-minute additions come through, and then we can move on to stage two and start confirming and locking it in.
