From Friday 9th December, Speedway Racing Ltd and Bay Venues Ltd will be operating Baypark Speedway under the “Orange” setting of the new COVID-19 protection framework. This means all patrons/fans attending events at the venue from this date will need to present their My Vaccine Pass to gain entry.
While we don’t want to exclude anyone from the venue, this is our only option if we want to continue delivering events. Here’s what you’ll need to know about Vaccine Pass entry requirements and other COVID-19 guidelines if you’re attending a Speedway event at Bay Venues Trust Power Stadium.
Vaccine Passes presented must be generated from the authorised Ministry of Health app. Appointment cards from the time a vaccine was administered will not be accepted.
Vaccine Pass checks will be carried out at the gates as you enter the venue.
Proof of a Vaccine Pass is required from any patrons over the age of 12 years and 3 months. Children under the age of 12 years and 3 months are exempt.
Proof of identity such as a drivers licence, passport or student ID may be requested by gate staff to ensure the Vaccine Pass is yours.
Patrons with a medical exemption will be included in the authorised Ministry of Health verification app. No letter or other form of medical exemption will be accepted.
Use of a face covering is still encouraged.
All entering the property must continue to sign in using the NZ COVID tracer app. Manual sign-in options will be available at the gates for those unable to scan.
Patrons who fail to comply with the above conditions will be denied entry.
