It is time to acknowledge the class of 23/24 class by class First up the largest of them all.

SPRINTCARS

With one of the biggest if not the largest registration for the season in NZ The Sprintcar racing has been phenomenal this season. They raced a total of 11/13 meetings and car counts were high in every event.

We ended with 3 drivers taking 2 wins each 22k Dean Brindle Racing 51M Rodney Wood Racing and 6M James Dahm. Wood also was the top qualifier for the one feature that was rained out and won the BOP Champs.

Other winners were Ayrton Hodson RacingDaniel Thomas RacingRyan O’Connor Racing and Michael Pickens who won the $5000 Bay Piston Cup for 2024.Away from the track Dean Cooper Motorsport brought home the 2NZ and Jamie Larsen Racing the 3NZ.

With most of the drivers confirming the return with M and new drivers already booking numbers for next season, we are expecting another great season of winged warrior action.

SUPERSTOCKS

They ran 5 of the 13 meetings last year which included the BOP Champs and the Hokey Ashby Superstock memorial.The class is a crowd-puller and nothing quite compares to the sound, especially on the start line waiting for the green.The Baypark Busters had their best finish in a while coming home 6th at Palmy and will finish the season with the Team Superstock Nationals next weekend. We look forward to some great Superstock meetings coming up in the new season.

F2 MIDGETS

They ran 6 of the 13 shows this season and provided some world-class wheel-to-wheel action.

The Season championship came down to the last race of the year with the top 2 starting on the front row of the grid.Our M Registered car numbers went up and what a great bunch of drivers to represent us around the country.We look forward to more F2 Midget nights next season and possibly something special in the pipeworks.
