This Saturday night six shooter superstar Luke McClymont will wheel the 14M Bayspeed Sprintcar on debut at the Bay51. The six shooter class has always been a competitive class with huge numbers every time they show up and a list of talented drivers especially from Baypark, Paradise Valley and Waikaraka Park. Cole Wood who drives the 41M MITRE 10 trade home and Makatu Poultry Farms Sprintcar has made the transition with good success out of the six shooter class as well and this stepping zone for someone of Luke’s talent will be very interesting to watch and at the right time with Sprintcar racing having never been as popular as it is now.
“Ill be starting off the back but Im very excited and grateful for the opportunity to give it a go” says Luke.
Luke’s father Brent who is a former national champion and legend in his own right got the call early Saturday morning from the Bayspeed team and says he had “no worries about Luke stepping up to the challenge” the move to the Sprintcar class full time is still a work in progress as the change over means “alot more money and support that will ne needed” says Brent.
Either way this weekend will be a big moment for young Luke and sure all his fans will be excited to see him as he throws the Sprintcar into turn 3 and 4.
