The Baypark Speedway Fanzone has become one of the most talked-about features of race night – a place where the excitement builds long before the first green flag drops. Over the past three seasons, it’s grown into a vibrant hub full of food, entertainment, and fan interaction, setting the tone for a huge night of racing at the only place for pace – Baypark Speedway.
From the moment gates open, the Fanzone is alive with energy. A great range of food vendors serve up Kiwi favourites to keep the crowds happy, while displays and interactive setups make it the perfect spot for families and fans to soak in the atmosphere. One of the biggest hits with the kids is the Squarebush cars – smaller, scaled-down versions of the real race machines that let the young ones imagine what it’s like to be out on track themselves.
A highlight of every Baypark race night is the chance for fans to meet the drivers up close and personal before the racing begins. It’s a unique opportunity for supporters to chat with their heroes, grab autographs and photos, check out the cars, and pick up team merchandise – all while drivers promote their sponsors and connect with the people who cheer them on from the stands. Once the pits close for racing, these early moments become memories fans will treasure.

This season, there’s an exciting change to how fans access the stadium, lounge, and seating areas. The new layout now flows directly from the Fanzone, opening up the space and creating a smoother entry experience. It’s easier than ever to move between the action, grab something to eat, meet the drivers, and head straight into your seats ready for the racing to begin.
And we’re kicking things off big for the “Back to the Bay” opening night on the 25th of October! The first four drivers and teams have already signed up to be part of the Fanzone, including an M-registered superstar from every class – plus a fan favourite returning to Baypark in a new class this season. Each car looks absolutely stunning, freshly prepared and ready to shine under the lights. Fans won’t want to miss the chance to see these machines up close before they hit the clay.
The Baypark Fanzone is where the passion of the fans meets the power of the sport – a place to eat, explore, and experience the spirit of speedway before the engines roar to life. This season, it’s bigger, better, and more interactive than ever – and it all starts Back at the Bay!
