The 2025/26 Baypark Speedway season is shaping up to be one to remember, with Australian Midget sensation Zoe Pearce joining forces with talented Kiwi driver Carlos Stone under the Stone Racing banner.
Both drivers will represent a family-built team owned by Tim and Jacqui Stone, who have assembled two beautifully prepared Spike chassis — Pearce powered by an RSI Esslinger and Stone by a BB7 Esslinger. Crew Chief Charles Smith from Brisbane will be managing a shared pit setup, with both machines expected to turn heads when they roll out under the Baypark lights this summer.

The teams are backed by an impressive group of supporters, including iVent, Smart Water, Lucas Oil, HRD, and Fastmaster, with additional support from Carbon Craft on Carlos’ car.
At just 21 years old, Australian racer Zoe Pearce has already made her mark on the international Midget scene. Starting out in Quarter Midgets at the age of five, she collected over 25 feature wins across three engine classes — including an incredible 10-race winning streak.
Her rise through the ranks has been nothing short of historic. Zoe became the first female in 90 years of VSDA (Victorian Speedcar Drivers Association) history to win a Midget feature race, breaking barriers and inspiring a new generation of racers.
Her achievements include:
2025 POWRi Nationals Champion – Non-Wing Micro
2x Speedweek Series Champion – Winged Micro
Victorian Stampede Series Champion – Winged Micro
3rd – King of the Arena Midget Championship (NZ)
3rd – Southern Speedcar Tour (Midget)
2nd – Avalon Raceway Track Championship (Midget)
5th – Australasian Speedcar 50 Lapper
POWRi National Midget QuickTime – Lake Ozark Raceway (Missouri)
2nd – POWRi National Midget Feature, Lake Ozark Speedway (Missouri)
6th – POWRi National Midget Illinois Speed Week
Supported by crew members Charlie, Andy, Dani, and Zach, Pearce’s car will showcase her signature style and international experience as she takes on New Zealand’s best this summer.
Racing runs deep in the Stone family, with Carlos Stone following in the footsteps of his father Tim, who was a well-known F2 Midget racer in his day. After collecting two feature wins in the F2 class, Carlos stepped up to the premier A-Grade Midget class last season and is now preparing for his second full campaign at the top level.

Backed by team members Charlie, Chris (Harry) Lachlan, Nathan, and Tim, Carlos’s Spike/BB7 Esslinger combination is looking sharp and ready to build on the progress made in his rookie year.
This season is all about consistency, confidence, and pushing for results. Having Zoe join the team and continue racing with the Stone family and sponsors will make this season even more special.
With a proven young champion from Australia and a determined homegrown driver flying the Kiwi flag, the Stone Racing team is ready to turn heads when the engines fire up at Back to the Bay on October 25th.
Expect excitement, teamwork, and plenty of action as Zoe Pearce and Carlos Stone take on the best Midget drivers New Zealand has to offer — right here at Baypark Speedway, the home of horsepower.
