This Saturday, November 19th is the Bay Circuit of Dreams and also the first time we get to see 2 new classes start their 22/23 season campaign at Baypark Speedway.
The Six Shooters make a welcome home with 21 cars set to take the clay this weekend. Fan favourite Luke McClymont will be the one they are chasing after an impressive winning haul last season. He will also feature his race car in the Fan Zone as you enter the stadium at the prelude of racing. The Six Shooters are racing a part of the Predator Series which is mainly made up of cars from Auckland, Tauranga, and Rotorua however Kirk Hawkins will make an appearance this weekend from Christchurch’s Ruapuna Speedway and will make a huge difference to the starting line-up.
The Stockcars are back, having run twice now off the rear of the field with the Superstocks, this weekend will just be about them. We now have 20 entries since the cancellation of Huntly Speedway.
The ones to watch after impressive runs the last two weekends will be August Porter in the 48M and William Scandlyn in 88M.
The Superstocks were away at Huntly for the team’s invitational. However that meeting has now been cancelled as of Friday morning which will be very disappointing for them.
The Super-Saloons return for the second time, this class has a very busy season ahead with trips planned for most of the drivers in the South Island during January and February next year.
15 cars have booked a ticket for this weekend’s show including Bay Super Sundown Champion Dan Corrin who will return for one night only this Saturday.
Opening night was won by the current 3nz Craig Cardwell, so the home-time heroes will be looking to plant an M car on the top of the podium this time.
The Sprintcars have really stepped up to be the premier class this season when it comes to numbers, even with Auckland running we still have 22 ready to entertain the crowds again. This includes all M (Baypark Speedway) cars, and a lot of the K cars (KihiKihi Speedway) are making their way to the mount again for this one. This will also be the last chance for the drivers to find the right setup with the CB Caravans, and RV Centre NI Island Sprintcar Championship at Baypark now only 3 weeks away.

Tickets are on sale now online and can also be purchased from the gate on race day, Gates open at 4:30 pm with Rhylie Clayton and Luke McClymont and Josh Verity in the Fan Zone, and racing is set to start at 6:30pm.
