How did you get into Speedway?
I heard a noise over the fence of my parents home in the late 80’s. I asked what it was and was instructed to climb on the roof to find out. That day I discovered Baypark raceway and shortly afterwards found Baypark Speedway.
Have you worked at other tracks or been involved in other Speedways in New Zealand?
I’ve commentated at a number of North Island Speedway Track as well as many in the South Island, I’ve been involved in a number of different aspects from Pit Crew, Racing, Promotion and Sponsored a number of teams.
What does the role mean exactly tell us about the job?
My role is to talk about what your eyes can see

The people
What do you think of the changes made to Baypark Speedway since the new promotion started?
I’m back and it’s amazing
Have you won any awards for your role in Speedway?
Lot’s of nominations but always the bridesmaid, never the bride.
Do you have a favorite class or driver?
Super Saloons are my favorite class. Maurice Cowling will always be my favorite driver.




Do you have any other sports that you get involved with?
Sky Sport live commentator of the D1NZ National Drifting Championship.

Rodney Wood and Bryan Fraser
