Things you can bring with you
There are some things that you are welcome to bring into the Venue when you attend an event provided that their presence or use doesn’t interfere with the event or disturb other visitors’ enjoyment of the event.
- Disability assist dog
- Home-made or brought food that is not in commercial packaging
- Un-opened soda or water
Things you can’t bring with you
For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, there are some things you may not bring with you.
- Alcohol
- Commercially produced food and drinks in commercial packaging
- Glass containers or bottles
- Bicycles, Skateboards, Rollerblades, Skates or Scooters
- Signage advertising business, products, clothing, or equipment considered by venue management to be offensive
- Unauthorised promotional material including signage, products, and clothing
- Laser lights or pointers
- Gang patches/colours
- Weapons of any kind or items that may be used as weapons
- Items that may be thrown, e.g. bolts, marbles
- Pets
- Items that may be used for defacing or damaging property
- Items that could cause harm or public nuisance as determined by venue management
We also have commercial partnerships that we need to protect. Please leave the above restricted items behind when attending events as you may be required to surrender them as a condition of entry to the event or the venue. We are unable to provide storage and surrendered items may not be returned.
- Q:Can you vape or smoke at the Speedway?
- A:
Mercury Baypark Stadium and Baypark Speedway (The Event) is a smoke and vape-free venue, please exit the stadium should you need to and see security to get a pass out as you exit.
- Q:Can we enter the Pits and drivers' work areas?
- A:
The Pits are open to the public from 4:30 pm till the start of racing at each event.
You must then have a valid pit pass to enter until the commencement of racing at the end of the night.
Please do not enter drivers’ trailers and be aware of hazards at all times. The Fanzone remains open all night and you do not need a pass to access it, you can view the pits from there and access all the food vendors, seating is available outside and inside the stadium lounge, and a big screen plays all the action on track when the Bay Per View is available.
The following must be adhered to:
- No open footwear inside the pit area at all times of the event
- All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult to enter.
- Please be aware that we have a lot of moving parts and vehicles at all times.
- Q:What time does the meeting start and finish?
- A:
Gates open at 4:30 pm, racing starts 6:30 pm and should be concluded by 10.00 pm.
- Q:Can I take photos or videos?
- A:
You may take photos as long as they are for personal use only, filming with professional video recording equipment or live streaming our event to social media channels is strictly prohibited and should you be found to be doing so, you may be asked to leave the event by management, promotions or security.
- Q:What time do the Fireworks happen?
- A:
Fireworks will always follow the end-of-the-night racing. We aim to start by 9:30 pm
- Q:How much does parking cost? Can I also camp there in my motorhome?
- A:
Entrance No. 1 on Truman Lane will serve as the main access point to Baypark Stadium. Proceed along Baypark Boulevard, passing Pit Lane, until you reach the public parking area in car park D on the north side of the facility. Please follow the road completely around. Parking is complimentary. We regret to inform you that overnight camping on stadium grounds is not permitted for safety reasons. However, numerous camping sites are conveniently located within minutes of the track. Our security team may request overnight campers to relocate for your safety and compliance.
- Q:Where is disabled parking?
- A:
Accessible parking is available in front of the arena in car park D (marked as yellow spaces on the map). For wheelchair users, designated seating is provided at the front of the main stand. Additionally, a dedicated room on Level 1 accommodates up to 10 wheelchairs, with space for one companion per wheelchair. Please note that this area operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and access will be closed once capacity is reached. If you wish to utilise this option, please speak to security located at the base of the stairs near the elevator. The wheelchair ramp is situated to the left of the merchandise store in the Fan Zone.
